Chiropractic For Kids

Face it - kids are active! Soccer, football, basketball, and skateboarding are high octane sports that require agility, strength, and the ability to bounce back. Even if children don’t play sports, playgrounds and living rooms become the wrestling arena of choice. Add to this: hectic schedules, fast food, and a plethora of new viruses floating around the schools-our children need help!

These small bodies are made up of bone cells, muscle cells, stomach cells, skin cells, and even hair cells. The leaders of these cells are those that make up the brain and nerves. Their job is to organize and control all the other cells in the body. This is done through a big, thick wire that goes from the brain the whole way down the back. It’s called the spinal cord. This cord is protected by bones. These 24 moving bones surround the spinal cord like beads on a necklace.

When a child plays hard, these spinal bones could get “misaligned,” causing an irritation to the nerves. These misalignments or subluxations interfere with the communication between the brain and cells of the body.

Chiropractors can locate these subluxations opening the communication between the brain and cells enhancing the body’s ability to heal.
